DOP Anup Singh on his lens choice
“It showcases 4 different scenarios of people asking others about their knowledge of sanitation in India in a catchy Indian way. My approach was to simply have a different visual treatment for all 4 scenarios. The first scene showcasing typical indian marriage setting. I used traditional tracks to shoot that. The second scenario is from 70s typical Indian film look which required a different visual treatment in colour correction. The soft Cooke look helped me achieve it. This segment is shot on a tripod. The third scene is an opera setting between 2 neighbours. I used jib movement to shoot this. And going slightly conventional in approach, the last segment is shot handheld to create the hip hop energy. Cooke lenses helped me to get desired look for the project. The softer feel goes well with all 4 different looks.”
